This decaf is soft, familiar, and easy to lean on, with sweet cherry first, almond through the middle, and a milk chocolate finish that keeps it round. Plenty of comfort, enough fruit to keep the cup awake, and none of the caffeine edge.

De eindeloze zoektocht naar de perfecte koffie

Vayichil comes from Jaltenango in Chiapas and is produced by 65 women smallholder farmers working within La Tribu, a local producer group made up of more than 300 families in the region.

The name Vayichil means "to dream" in Tzotzil, a language spoken by many Mayan communities across Chiapas. That local rooting matters here: this is not anonymous decaf, but a coffee tied to a specific network of growers and a place with its own identity.

In the cup it stays approachable and rounded, which is exactly what we want from a decaf like this. It still tastes like proper coffee first, just without the caffeine following behind.
